About Art at the Clinic: A healthy balance includes not only nutrition, exercise and rest, but also a healthy balance between science and art. A well balanced individual engages in activities that stimulate both sides of the brain - analytical as well as creative. In Traditional Chinese Medicine incorporating artistic endeavors are essential part of a doctor's training. A doctor that is well balanced will be a more effective healer. In addition, we are all affected by the environment around us. Although we are unsure exactly how are animal friends experience art and color, it is clear that they are effected by the mood of the people around them. Therefore, creating a relaxing healing environment for yourself will help their balance. For this reason, we have worked to create a healing environment hat uses invigorating yet soothing colors and artwork. We display the art of local artists. Our receptions are a place for a social experience that helps to build our local community. - Dr. Lisa Pesh
